Is It Enough?

How much water should I drink in a day?

So do you wonder how much water you need to be hydrated? Well there are three factors. I want you to take into consideration.

1) You should drink half of your body weight in ounces. What that means is if you weigh 150 lbs that means you would drink 75 oz a day. If you are 200 lbs that means you drink 200 oz per day. Simple easy math. Divide your weight by 2 and there is your answer.

2) If you workout you need to replace more water. For each 15 minutes you spend in activity… you should drink back 2-4 ounces of water. So if you workout for 60 minutes this means you need 8-16 ounces. The amount of water you need to drink back depends on how much you sweat. If you sweat a lot 16 is probably closer to your goal than 8. In addition if you go over 1 hour of exercise you need to drink electrolytes too for more balance. After 1 hour of activity, you will need to drink 2-4 ounce of an electrolyte beverage every 30 minutes. For more specifics check out my you tube …

3) Lastly, if you are outside sweating a lot in the sun you will want to make sure you drink at least 1-2 ounces of water every 15 minutes to ensure you remain adequately hydrated.

SO this can mean you need A LOT more water than you planned on.
